La Favorite Assorted Dessert Plates

Fashion designer Yaz Burkey was inspired by an Ottoman tale to create a pattern that echoes the aesthetic codes of Iznik ceramics.  The Sultan was so fond of tulips that he had turtles fitted with candles on their shells, trained to illuminate his gardens during nightly celebrations, to honor the flower, symbol of his empire.  A turtle became intoxicated with the scent of a tulip and thus a love affair with the palace's favorite was born.......
